Kiss Kiss Bang Bang… and you get to play too!
If you’re in the market for a super-hip post-Valentine’s Day love-fest (either to make-up for forgetting the 14th altogether, or to extend the fun by an extra day) check out Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, a February 15 art project/live music venue put on by Nevada Museum of Art and the Holland Project. This show is all about audience participation. Inspired by Michael Sarich’s Like, Love, Lust and multi-layered artworks that overflow with personal symbols and icons, guests are encouraged to get in on the action with two on-site art projects: CTRL ALT DELETE invites everyone to bring along personal icons, symbols, or small objects to help create a communal altar. The Valentine Factory project will bring back those good old grade school memories of making glue & construction paper hearts, grown-up style. Tickets are only $8 bucks in advance, $10 at the door, and can be bought online as of February 1 at www.nevadaart.org. Panic Opera, the Juvinals, and DJ Andrew set the tune tone for the evening. Fun gets underway at 8:00 p.m.
